Mission
The Bayou Lafourche Office is part of the Southeast Louisiana Regional Office and operates under the direction of the Southeast Regional Manager. Located in the heart of the bayou region, this satellite office was established due to its strategic location and the need to provide closer oversight in Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes.
Staff at the Bayou Lafourche Office conduct inspections, investigate facility releases, and respond to citizen complaints to ensure environmental protection and community safety. By working closely with the Southeast Louisiana Regional Office, the satellite office strengthens local support and helps maintain clean air, water, and land across the parishes it serves.
Dionne Magness
Regional ManagerMagness earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University New Orleans and a Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University. She has worked in the Department’s Southeast Regional Office in the Surveillance Division since joining the agency in May 2003.
