This week, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality began distributing an updated 2015 Hurricane Resource Manual to all 64 parishes. The manual contains information pertaining to hurricane/emergency recovery assistance as it relates to permitting, debris collection and environmental cleanup resources.
In response to the severe weather event on April 27 which prompted an Emergency Declaration and Administrative Order, DEQ activates Emergency Debris sites in Assumption and Lafourche Parishes.

The 6 p.m. public hearing for the Nola Oil Terminal Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit application scheduled for tonight, April 14, has been canceled due to inclement weather. The hearing was to have been held at the Belle Chasse Auditorium in Belle Chasse. The LDEQ Office of Environmental Services will reschedule this public hearing at a future date.
