LDEQ encourages proper separation of trash, household chemicals and debris after a storm or flood

With Hurricane Laura impacting much of Louisiana, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) encourages residents across the state to be mindful of the proper separation and disposal of debris.

Southern University at Shreveport receives EPA Grant for Environmental Workforce Training 

Over the next 3 years, Southern University at Shreveport plans to train 60 students for the environmental workforce with a job placement/furthering education goal of at least 85%.

LDEQ schedules Dresser meeting for July 7

The meeting will discuss the Dresser site in Pineville at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the Granberry Conference Center off Allen Drive on the campus of Louisiana College in Pineville. This in-person meeting was scheduled after a June 10 online meeting had to be canceled due to connectivity issues.

LDEQ will host an online community meeting concerning the current status of contamination at the Dresser site in Pineville and its effect on adjacent areas. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 10.
