Baton Rouge - The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality is offering four free training sessions around the state to help the public understand the DEQ air permitting process and the permitting of air emissions
These sessions, DEQ Air Permitting 301: Understanding Permitted versus Actual Emissions, will focus on the typical sources for determining emission rates and establishes a level of accuracy for each type. The presentation explains how those rates can be adjusted for different operations and other variables The differences between the permitted emissions and actual emissions will be discussed and how those emissions are used in prevention of significant deterioration (PSD) applications, inspections/enforcement and submissions to the emissions reporting and inventory center (ERIC). These workshops are free and open to the public, so please forward this information to anyone who may be interested.
