Yolunda Righteous

Righteous joined LDEQ in April 2011 and serves as Administrator for the Waste Permits Division of the Office of Environmental Services. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Dillard University and earned a law degree form Southern University Law Center in 2018.

Righteous has over 29 years of environmental experience in the field of waste permitting, compliance, training and project management. Her experience includes working as Waste Services Director for 15 years at Providence Engineering.She is Region 4 Director of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) and serves on the Board of Directors. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Solid Waste Assocation (LSWA) and is conference chair for the LWSA/LDEQ Louisiana Environmental Conference and Trade Fair.
