If not, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality is sponsoring four free training sessions on nonpoint source pollution for communities, businesses and interested parties.

On Friday, Feb. 5, deputies from the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested an
Avoyelles Parish man for the alleged illegal disposal waste tires in connection with a Louisiana Department of
Environmental Quality criminal investigation.
On Thursday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m., representatives from the Criminal Investigations Division from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality will host a webinar on how to start and operate a litter court within your municipality, city or parish.
– In response to the heavy rainfall that occurred over the past month, the Louisiana
Department of Environmental Quality has prepared for rising water levels along the Red River, Mississippi
River and Atchafalaya River throughout the state.
