Today, Secretary Aurelia S. Giacometto welcomes Slade Norfleet to Louisiana DEQ, as the Legislative Outreach and External Affairs Liaison. Born and raised in Luling, Louisiana, Slade is a proud graduate of Hahnville High School. He earned his degree in Political Science from UL-Lafayette and went on to graduate from LSU Law School. With extensive experience as a prosecutor and attorney in Lafayette and within the Louisiana Legislature, Slade brings a wealth of legal expertise to our department.
Slade's lifelong passion for the environment, evident in his hobbies of hunting and gardening, aligns seamlessly with our mission at LDEQ. His diverse roles have equipped him to contribute significantly to our department's goals.
