LDEQ creates Nonpoint Source Pollution demonstration to continue outreach efforts during COVID-19

With COVID-19 restrictions limiting outreach efforts, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality’s (LDEQ) Nonpoint Source (NPS) Pollution group created a video demonstrating the EnviroScape model. The EnviroScape model effectively communicates the shared responsibility for the environment, specifically water quality, to people of all ages.

New online, interactive map details water bodies included in Louisiana Water Quality Integrated Report

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) has launched a new interactive map that details the water bodies included in the Louisiana Water Quality Integrated Report. The Louisiana Water Quality Integrated Report (IR) is the current format for the state’s biennial reports on the water quality of Louisiana surface waters.

EPA Awards $1.24 Million Grant to Port NOLA’s Clean Truck Replacement Incentive Program

The Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) received a United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant for $1.24 million for the Port’s Clean Truck Replacement Incentive Program (Clean TRIP), which gives truck and fleet owners who serve Port NOLA an opportunity to voluntarily replace older, inefficient drayage trucks with cleaner models.
