Preliminary Announcement

 The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality will soon begin accepting applications for loans from its new Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund (BCRLF).  These loans will be available to qualified owners of eligible brownfield properties for the purpose of remediation of those properties.

These BCRLF loans will be awarded on a competitive basis and the applications will be accepted continuously as funding permits.  Loans will be made at below-market interest rates (to be announced) and flexible terms may be available on a site and situation-specific basis.  Qualified public and private entities will be eligible to apply.

BCRLF loan funds may only be used for cleanup of brownfield properties.  Development, construction, investigation, and other costs will not be eligible.
