REMARKS:Today, temperatures in the mid-80s and partly to mostly sunny skies will aid ozone production. In addition, light northerly winds in northern and central Louisiana will limit pollutant dispersion. These conditions will result in high-Moderate AQI levels in Baton Rouge and Shreveport. Elsewhere in the state, light to moderate northerly winds will disperse some pollutants, keeping AQI levels low- to mid-Moderate. Tomorrow, mostly sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and light northeasterly winds throughout the region will support ozone formation. These conditions will lead to mid- to high-Moderate AQI levels across Louisiana. Friday, temperatures in the upper-80s will aid ozone production and light to moderate southeasterly winds will bring more humid air into the region, increasing particle production. Therefore, AQI levels will remain Moderate statewide.
