RECEIPT OF RCRA APPLICATION

VIEW ATTACHMENTS FOLLOWING PUBLIC NOTICE

The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services has accepted for review and written comment a Hazardous Waste Post Closure Application from Sasol North America Inc., 2201 Old Spanish Trail, Westlake, Louisiana 70669 for the Lake Charles Chemical Complex.  The application was received on October 27, 2009. The facility is located at 2201 Old Spanish Trail, Westlake, Cacasieu Parish.  The contact for the facility is W. Sasol North America Inc. proposes to obtain a Hazardous Waste Post-Closure Permit for its Activated Sludge Unit.
 
A copy of the permit application is available for review at the LDEQ, Public Records Center, Rm. 127, 602 North 5th Street, Baton Rouge, LA. Viewing hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (except holidays). The available information can also be accessed electronically on the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) on the DEQ public website at www.deq.louisiana.gov.
 
The application can also be reviewed at the Calcasieu Public Library, Westlake Branch, located at 937 Mulberry St., Westlake, LA 70669 and the Sulphur Regional Branch, located at 1160 Cypress Street, Sulphur, LA 70663.
